Hello all. I am at work and am having writer's block as I work on a proposal for a conference. These photos are of "Mother-in-Law Day," which Melissa and I hosted for our mom-in-laws. We took them on a scavenger hunt around Lansing and East Lansing, basing the clues and passages we read to them at each place on the books "Do You Think I'm Beautiful?" and "Captivating." It was a wonderful day, each of us had times of being a bit choked up, and we learned more about each others' lives, hearts, etc. In the picture of the four of us, Karen Freeman, Carol and I are wearing antique hats Mel got us. Mel managed to not wear hers in any photos! The locations of the hunt were JoAnne's Fabrics, World Market, an Antique Mall, the Children's Garden at MSU, and Melissa's house where we had a proper English tea party (we looked up traditions, etc. online...Nicole, you would have been proud!) Anyway, I thought I would share this with y'all!
Kyle, congrats on passing your exam!!! You are a month away from being a "real" pastor! :-) Thanks for sharing the photos and stories from your new life in MN. Josh got his LSAT score back...he scored a 171, which puts him in the 98%...which means he did really well. Now he is applying to ten schools. I miss all of y'all and hope you are enjoying to warm weather (at least it is in mid-Michigan) today!
